"Librarians: In times of stress we take comfort in trusted authorities."
Librarians were in the same category as teddy bears, hugs and money in a report on what people fear (and take comfort in). The four are pictured in the lower left quarter of the grid, the area defined as "Not Dangerous" and "What We Don't Fear." From Time Magazine January 9, 2012

2011 - 2012 NLLN Cooperation Projects
NLLN Governing Board has budgeted funds for cooperative projects undertaken by NLLN and/or NLLN member libraries. These projects must involve more than one type of library and can be done within a single community or across a larger region.
Are there cooperative projects in your community you'd like to try? Are you engaged in activities that provide service to a broader community? Let us know -- we're interested in helping.
Send us your proposal or contact Kathy Enger (kbenger@nlln.org ph: 800-450-1032) to discuss eligible projects.
Watch the website for further reports on projects currently in progress or already completed in FY2012!
You can use this form to submit a request.
